Gaelic School Consultation: 22 April to 30 June 2024
The Education Service are undertaking a 10 week consultation to ascertain the demand for an all Gaelic School within Argyll and Bute. This is in fulfilment of action 2.11 of the agreed Argyll and Bute Gaelic Language Plan (copy available here) :-
"Argyll and Bute Council will engage fully and constructively with Bòrd na Gàidhlig, as adviser on Gaelic education, and other stakeholders (including parents and parent representatives) with a view to bringing forward, within the next 2 years, a consultation to ascertain the demand for an all-Gaelic School within the local authority area.”
Attached is a copy of the Engagement Strategy that has been prepared in support of the consultation process, which provides further background information and details the planned engagement activity with key stakeholders.
As part of the consultation, stakeholders are being asked to complete a short survey, which can be accessed using the following link:- https://forms.gle/RQF3DfT98t3yFjJS9.
We appreciate the views of all community members and would encourage completion of the questionnaire.
The survey will be live from 22nd April until 30th June 2024.
If you have any questions, or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact the team using the dedicated email inbox, which has been set up for this purpose – gaelicschoolconsultation@argyll-bute.gov.uk.
